MaryJane Calderon was born in Fresno County, California and is currently living and working in Tyler, Texas. She is a multidisciplinary artist with concentrations in charcoal drawing and ceramics. Her work studies the relationships and connections that people have with each other through the use of geometric patterns. Calderon’s current exhibitions include Monochrome in Grapevine,Texas and Art Collide online. She was the Tyler Junior College Student Assistant in the spring of 2023 and student speaker at the University of Texas at Tyler for their recruitment event in 2025. Her current projects are the stepping stones for her grad school portfolio, which includes charcoal drawings and monochromatic ceramic works. Calderon currently studies at the University of Texas at Tyler with the expected graduation date in Spring 2026.
